We're a growing, remote-first software engineering agency connecting talented software engineers with innovative AI startups across the United States.
Our engineers work remotely on exciting software and AI projects. Because these projects involve proprietary source code, confidential business information, and sensitive infrastructure, many of our clients require engineers to use company-managed laptops and equipment.
Since we don't operate a traditional office, we rely on a small network of regional device coordinators to manage equipment logistics and ensure our engineers receive properly configured, work-ready devices.
We're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented IT & Device Operations Coordinator to help us manage laptops and other work equipment in your local area.
What You'll Do
● Receive company laptops and equipment shipped directly from our clients or authorized vendors.
● Unbox, inspect, and document incoming devices.
● Perform basic laptop setup using our step-by-step instructions.
● Install or verify required applications, security tools, and system updates.
● Check that devices are functioning properly before deployment.
● Coordinate secure equipment shipments or local handoffs to assigned engineers.
● Maintain accurate inventory records, including device serial numbers and assignment details.
● Assist with equipment returns, replacements, and basic troubleshooting.
● Perform secure device resets or wiping when authorized and required.
What We're Looking For
● Basic familiarity with Windows and macOS laptops.
● Comfortable installing applications and following technical setup instructions.
● Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
● Reliable, trustworthy, and responsive to communication.
● Ability to safely receive, temporarily store, and handle company equipment.
● Comfortable coordinating shipments and local equipment handoffs.
● Previous experience in IT support, computer repair, or device management is a plus, but not required.
Compensation
● Must be a US Citizenship
We offer task-based compensation with opportunities to earn more as we establish a long-term working relationship.
● First Device Assignment: $150 for successfully receiving, preparing, and shipping your first laptop.
● Ongoing Assignments: $300 per Laptop after successfully completing the initial assignment and establishing a reliable working relationship.
● Flexible Workload: Device assignments are offered based on operational needs and availability.
● Shipping Expenses Covered: All approved shipping and packaging expenses are paid separately by the company. You will never be required to purchase equipment or use personal funds for authorized shipping costs.
Payments are made upon successful completion of each assignment according to the agreed payment terms.
