Kindred is a members-only home swapping platform that unlocks the ability to live a travel-rich lifestyle through the power of community. By exchanging primary residences with trusted peers, renters and owners alike can match with Kindred spirits and explore new destinations without breaking the bank.
Kindred is revolutionizing the “third option” of travel accommodation, compared to short-term rentals and hotels. Since launching in 2022, Kindred has grown to a global community of 300,000 members across 150+ cities and puts home swapping on the map as a radically more affordable, responsible, and connected way to travel.
To support that momentum, Kindred has raised over $150M in capital from some of the most credible investors in Silicon Valley, including Index Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz, New Enterprise Associates, Bessemer Venture Partners, Caffeinated Capital, Elad Gil, and founders of companies like Opendoor, Figma, ClassPass, and more.
Kindred’s co-founders are proven leaders from the early team at Opendoor ($15B+ exit), who have each built and scaled products that today generate $1B+ annual revenue combined.
We’re looking for the world’s top builders, executors, and believers to help us make travel more meaningful.

At Kindred, our mission is to make a travel-rich lifestyle more accessible through the power of community. As Senior Manager, FP&A, you’ll play a critical role in bringing this mission to life by providing the financial clarity, rigor, and insight that support smart decision-making as we scale.
You’ll work closely with the Head of Finance to take ownership of the company’s core financial models, lead budgeting and forecasting, partner with Accounting through monthly close, and help build foundational FP&A processes that will be critical as we scale. This role sits at the intersection of traditional FP&A execution and strategic finance, requiring both strong fundamentals and the ability to operate in ambiguity.
This is a high-impact, high-autonomy role ideal for someone with 6+ years of experience, including prior investment banking experience followed by FP&A or strategic finance experience at a high-growth technology company.
In your first 3–6 months, success in this role looks like:
You’ve taken ownership of the company’s core financial models and improve them for scalability, clarity, and decision-making
Budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting processes are running smoothly, accurately, and on a predictable cadence
Monthly close is well-coordinated with Accounting, with clear alignment between actuals, forecasts, and key metrics
Leadership has clear, actionable visibility into financial performance, drivers, and variances
Cross-functional partners view you as a trusted, reliable finance partner
You’ve defined and documented core FP&A processes
As Senior Manager, FP&A, you’ll play a hands-on role in owning core financial processes while supporting strategic decision-making across the company. You’ll:
Own and evolve budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes in close partnership with the Head of Finance
Build, maintain, and refine the company’s core financial models
Partner closely with Accounting to support monthly close, ensure data integrity, and maintain alignment between actuals and forecasts
Lead monthly and quarterly financial reporting, including variance analysis and performance insights for leadership
Work cross-functionally with leaders across Operations, Product, Marketing, and People to evaluate performance and support planning
Support strategic initiatives through financial analysis, scenario modeling, and business case development, and translate analyses into clear recommendations for executive audiences
Help define and track key financial and operational metrics that tie performance to underlying business drivers
Improve FP&A processes, documentation, and tooling to support scale and reduce manual effort
Help shape the future structure and processes of the FP&A function as the company grows
We’re looking for a finance powerhouse who combines analytical rigor with business judgment and thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments. The ideal candidate has:
6+ years of experience in finance, including prior investment banking experience and subsequent FP&A or strategic finance experience at a high-growth technology company
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with a solid understanding of financial statements
Deep familiarity with traditional FP&A processes, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and planning
Comfort building processes and energy for turning ambiguity into structure
Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex analyses into clear, decision-ready insights
A high ownership mindset, attention to detail, and strong follow-through
Comfort working cross-functionally and partnering with senior stakeholders
Bias toward action and comfort operating in a dynamic, scaling environment
Prior exposure to board or investor reporting
Experience building or scaling FP&A processes in an early-stage or pre-IPO environment
Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills; familiarity with FP&A tools or BI platforms
